Cathy joined MiKTMC in June 2023. Before that, Cathy earned a BS in Mathematical Sciences, an MS in Biostatistics, and, as part of Dr. Jacob Kitzman's lab, a PhD in Bioinformatics all from the University of Michigan. Their most recent work used massively parallel splicing assays to identify splice disruptive variants in human disease genes which included an interrogation of WT1 exon 9 where altered splicing is associated with Frasier's syndrome and FSGS. Outside of work, Cathy enjoys gardening, cooking, and going to fancy dinners.
