Lori Slowik
Lori joined the MiKTMC team in June 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous roles in medical and administrative settings. Equipped with associate degrees in Administrative Secretary and General Studies, she also expanded her expertise through Project Management studies at Villanova University.
Before her arrival, Lori spent over four years with the Section of Transplant at Michigan Medicine, where her role as a Senior Administrative Assistant honed her skills in healthcare administration. Her career also includes significant contributions to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, where she served in Administration and the OR, ultimately advancing to the position of Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety. Lori's responsibilities at the medical center were multifaceted, encompassing instruction in High Reliability Organization (HRO) practices, support in Lean Leader training, and managing various projects.
Lori's diverse administrative background is further marked by her time with prominent organizations such as Aetna, Electronic Data Systems, and Accounting Resources, where she excelled in various capacities.
Outside the office, Lori is an avid adventurer and nature enthusiast. She relishes time spent kayaking, hiking, skiing, running, and mountain biking. On days that call for indoor activities, she expresses her creativity through pottery, sewing, and various yarn crafts, further showcasing her versatile talents.
