Mathew is passionate about developing efficient bioinformatics pipelines and analytic methods for multi-OMIC data. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and two master’s degrees in Public Health Biotechnology (University of Ibadan) and Biomedical Engineering (University of South Dakota). His area of competence is in data analysis, Machine Learning, and bioinformatics. He has previously developed a classification model for biofilm stage-specific genes and expression modules based on ICA algorithms to accelerate microbial biofilm biomarker discovery.

He joined MiKTMC in February 2023 and is responsible for multi-OMICS data processing, including quality control, mapping to reference, quantification, and statistical tests using standard approaches.
