Silpa is currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Health and Society with a minor in Gender and Health from the University of Michigan. Her passions lie at the intersection of Biology, Health, and Education. She is working with the Biomarker Wet Bench team.

Silpa’s previous research was on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension through Michigan Medicine’s Cardiology Department. She also works as a Medical Assistant/Scribe at a local Urgent Care, as a Study Group Facilitator for the Science Learning Center, and mentors college students complete scientific writing assignments through the Sweetland Writing Center.

During her free time, Silpa enjoys painting pop-art, spending time with friends, and baking.
