Wenjun Ju
, PhD
Dr. Ju is a Research Scientist in the Department of Medicine/Nephrology and Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan. In collaboration with her colleagues, she works on integrating an array of data types including transcriptomics and detailed morphometric information from kidney biopsies, plasma and urinary proteomics, and clinical outcome data with the aim of decoding critical molecular networks and pathways. The insights gained from this integration have significant implications for not only risk stratification and molecular subgrouping but also for the development of targeted treatments.
As a passionate translational scientist, Dr. Ju’s goal is to facilitate new drug development to slow down CKD progression and to implement validated molecular biomarkers in kidney precision medicine to improve patient care.
